‘Bows rout Huskies 56-21 on the road

DEKALB, ILL. —When the University of Hawaii football team wins a road game, tradition calls for the coaches and administrators to give their first-class seats to the players on the return chartered flight to Honolulu. University of Hawaii football team defeated Northern Illinois 56-21 in a road game, marking their first victory since Sept. 12. The Rainbow Warriors' quarterback, Micah Alejado, passed for 323 yards and three touchdowns, while the Huskies fell to 0-7 and 0-3 in their inaugural Mountain West season. The Warriors, who entered the game with a score of 15.71, managed to revive their running game and set a school record for most points against a Mountain West opponent in a regulation game. Athletic director Matt Elliott, head coach Timmy Chang and the coaching staff were able to give their first-class seats to the players on the return chartered flight to Honolulu.
