Monday Weather
Hawaiʻi will see mostly dry and stable weather this week as trade winds strengthen and clear the air after New Year’s Eve. A brief front may bring a few showers A weak weather front is moving over Kauai and the rest of the Hawaiian Islands, but it is not expected to bring much rain. High pressure is building north of Hawai'i, which will bring back steady trade winds by mid-week, which are expected to increase and become more frequent. However, a weak front may move south over the islands later in the week, potentially increasing the trade winds and bringing more showers, mainly to windward and mountain locations, with a small chance of light showers reaching leeward and interior areas. By the weekend, humidity levels will drop, making the start of 2026 feel cooler and less humid across much of the state. A High Surf Advisory remains in effect for many north- and west-facing shores, including those on Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Maui.
