HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Diamond Head on Monday, according to law enforcement sources.

According to official sources, Kehonu James Sturm was arrested and charged with sex assault and robbery on Saturday around 6:15 p.m.

Police sources say the assault occurred on Monday. The victim, CC Sheffield, described the incident as “being stalked like an animal.”

Sheffield said she was listening to a book on tape when she noticed a man walking uncomfortably close behind her. She figured he was a beachgoer like her. “All of a sudden, I just feel my hands, like behind my back,” she said. “Then him on top of me. I was like, oh, I can feel him aroused.”

“I was screaming ‘Help, help, help,’ like so loud and just concentrated on that. I think it scared him but he also yanked my purse that was around my chest. He didn’t get that and he ran away.”

After the attack, Sheffield said she ran to the nearest house on Diamond Head Road and screamed for help, but no one was home.

She then called 911 and told officers and EMS what happened.
