Bicyclist seriously injured after being hit by motorcyclist in Honolulu
The motorcyclist ditched his bike and ran from the scene on foot. A bicyclist remains in serious condition after being hit by a motorcycle in Honolulu, Hawaii. The incident occurred at around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of South Beretania and Fort Street. The male cyclist, in his 40s, was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by the motorcyclist believed to be speeding. The motorcycle fled the scene on foot. Police believe speed was a contributing factor in the crash, but it is unclear if drugs or alcohol were also contributing factors.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A bicyclist remains hospitalized in serious condition after being hit by a motorcycle in Honolulu on Thursday.
It happened at around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of South Beretania and Fort Street.
HPD said the male cyclist, in his 40′s, attempted to cross the street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a motorcyclist believed to be speeding.
The motorcyclist ditched his bike and ran from the scene on foot.
The cyclist was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
Police say speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash. It’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
