Responding to an early morning call, officers were dispatched to the residence at approximately 8:30 a.m. After no response to their visit, they left the premises. Lt. Deena Thoemmes reported that at this initial stage, there was no legitimate reason to enter the house.
Another call prompted authorities to return at 9:15 a.m., which led to a grim discovery. Inside, officials located four individuals—believed to be a mother and her three children, ages 10, 12, and 17—victim to fatal stab wounds. The father was also found deceased at the scene.
Thoemmes delivered further details, indicating that the subsequent investigation pointed towards the father as the perpetrator of the stabbings. The father’s manner of dying remains under scrutiny, as it was uncertain from initial reports if he had died by suicide.
The identification of the victims will be formally announced by the medical examiner’s office, as their ages were not immediately known at the press briefing.
