Hawaii baseball closes homestand with win over Hawaii Pacific

The Rainbow Warriors have seven games on the road over the course of the next two weeks. The University of Hawaii baseball team closed its homestand with a 10-1 victory over Hawaii Pacific, improving their overall record to 16-10. The Rainbow Warriors' top two hitters, Jordan Donahue and Jake Tsukada, each had three hits. Nine pitchers pitched for Hawaii, with starter Harrison Bodendordf earning the win. For Hawaii Pacific's starter, Jordan Otjen was the loss, allowing six hits and four runs in his 1.2 innings. The team's next game will be at UC Davis.

The University of Hawaii baseball team closed out its homestand with a 10-1 win over Hawaii Pacific on Tuesday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

The Rainbow Warriors improved to 16-10 overall, while the Sharks dropped to 19-16.

Hawaii received massive production from the top of its lineup, as leadoff man Jordan Donahue and No. 2 hitter Jake Tsukada each had three hits, with Tsukada blasting his second home run of the year.

Nine pitchers threw one inning each for Hawaii, with starter Harrison Bodendordf earning the win with one walk and one hit.

For Hawaii Pacific, starter Jordan Otjen was tagged with the loss after allowing six hits and four runs in his 1.2 innings. Offensively, Kota Suzuki and Chase Taylor each had two hits.

Next up for Hawaii is a two-week road trip, which begins at UC Davis on Friday at 11:30 a.m. HST.
