The victim, a male victim and a 40-year-old suspect, were involved in a verbal argument which escalated when the suspect shot the victim. The suspect fled the scene and is currently being treated in critical condition.

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department is investigating an attempted murder case following a shooting in Kaimuki.
Police responded to the scene on Thursday night at around 10:05 p.m.
According to HPD, a male victim and a 40-year-old suspect got into a verbal argument before things escalated to the suspect shooting the victim.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services took the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said another victim was also involved and the suspect fled the scene.
