Motorcyclist in critical condition after colliding with city bus in Ewa Beach

The motorcycle collided with a city bus as he attempted to speed past, which was attempting to make a left turn onto Kuhina Street. The motorbikeist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was wearing a helmet. Speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash, but it's unclear if alcohol or drugs were a factor.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash in the Ewa Beach area Thursday night, official said.
It happened around 9:15 p.m. on Fort Weaver Road.
Police said the 31-year-old man was on a motorcycle when he collided with a city bus as he attempted to speed past.
The bus was attempting to make a left turn onto Kuhina Street, investigators said.
The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. HPD says he was wearing a helmet.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities say speed appears to be a contributing factor on the part of the motorcyclist and it’s unknown if alcohol or drugs is a contributing factor.
