Hawaiian Airlines Honolulu Lounge Construction Begins
Hawaiian Airlines just broke ground on a massive new Honolulu airport lounge. It opens in 2028. Hawaiian Airlines has broken ground on a new premium lounge at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, designed to welcome roughly 200 guests in the first half of 2028. The project is part of Alaska Air Group's Kahuʻewai Hawaiʻi Investment Plan, which aims to invest over $600 million into improving travel across the islands. The lounge will feature locally inspired food and beverages, a full-service bar, private workspaces, gathering areas and artwork celebrating Hawaiʙi artists. The design and construction partners include Hawaii, Gensler and Nordic PCL Construction. The new space will complement Hawaiian Airlines' existing Plumeria Lounge and six Premier Clubs scattered across the island.
