HONOLULU (KHON2) — A new program is teaching people about the natural Hawaii, with a side of ono grindz for brain food.

It’s called the Malama Aina series and it’s being offered at Hula Grill Waikiki. Wake Up 2Day met up with general manager Michelle Whitton and NOAA artist Patrick Ching to learn more.

The Malama Aina series features presentations about Hawaii’s wildlife, ecosystems and environmental issues with a special focus on the ahupuaa of Waikiki. Speakers will provide guests with a better understanding of our surroundings along with a deeper appreciation for conservation and restoration efforts throughout the islands.
