The festival will begin accepting ticket request forms starting Nov. 16. The 2027 Merrie Monarch Festival hula competition in Hawaii is open for ticket requests. Tickets are required for the three-day event, which takes place from March 28 through April 3, 2027, two weeks earlier than usual. Forms must be mailed to the Merrie Mon Festival Office at 865 Piilani Street, Hilo, HI 96720. Payment must be in the form of a cashier’s check or money order obtained no earlier than the last week of October, and any requests postmarked before Nov. 16 will not be accepted. International requests will be selected through the festival's lottery process. The festival does not sell or guarantee blocks of tickets to any tour group or travel agency.
