HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Hawaii Island couple is in custody for allegedly kidnapping a man and stealing his car at a bar in Hilo, Hawaii Island police officials said.
Court documents say Nathan Pedro and Jackie Carter held the victim against his will Sunday night in the parking lot of Joanne’s Lounge.
Officials say Pedro was charged with a total of 24 offenses, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine distribution.
Police say his bail is set at nearly $1.2 million.
Both are due in court next week.
